Baptism is a very important step in the life of a Christian. It is a picture of God’s forgiveness through washing us clean and of our entry into his family, the church. In Baptism, God declares that he freely offers forgiveness, and all the blessings of a new life in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit.
If you are asking for baptism for your child they still need to accept these gifts personally. So, when he or she is baptised, parents and godparents publicly promise to help him or her to take their place within the life and worship of the church.

If you were baptized (christened) when you were a child your parents and godparents made promises on your behalf about becoming a Christian. Confirmation is a special church service when you want to affirm those promises for yourself. Confirmation is a service which is taken by the local bishop.
Preparing for Confirmation will usually involve taking a course over a number of weeks together with other people in the parishes. You may be just enquiring about faith or have been a regular worshipper over many years and feel that this is now the time you want to take this step.
To enquire further about this please contact one of the team directly.
